I used to look at a set of stairs and imagine Nollie Shove-Its and scraped elbows. Before that, it was empty fields filled with pick-up football games. At my inception, maybe colorful rattles and how they would taste.
It's funny how our visions change along with our interests.
Show me an empty retail space today and I start dreaming. Point out a unique cafe sign and I picture a parody on 100% cotton. See someone rocking purple shoes and teal pants? They need a Grand-Mama snapback more than air...
Watch the world transform as often as we change clothes. Notice your progress - then, embrace it.
Grow with us... Mature with us... and stay thankful.
There are times when we all feel like Holyfield's corner man. Stress beats our soul until our body cries for the towel. Disagreements lead to resentment, mistakes lead to disappointment, repeated mistakes lead to frustration. The road less-traveled is less-traveled for a reason. The road less-traveled doesn't have fast food establishments and exit signs. It is desolate. You wave who you lass because you've craved peer contact for ages. Not all of us share the same aspirations. Some of us revel in the incessant Cheeto and Tahitian Treat-fueled infomercial marathons. Some of us get sick at the thought. If you ever felt the need to build, to grow, to live bigger and better... If you ever wanted to break free of the small town mold forced on you from birth... if you ever knew, in the back of your over-worked mind, that you deserved more... that now is the time to get it... you belong with us.
