Charity Event: April 9, 2011
We are often defined as much by the things we are not as the things we are. Grape is not just a streetwear company and for us Positivity is not just a commitment to the absence of negativity. We are a movement and we refuse to be passively positive. The revolution we seek to embody is about more than thought, it is about action.
We have built Grape not just to clothe the world but to change it.
It is because of this that Grape is proud to announce the next in what will be a long line of charity events we plan to be a part of:
When: April 9th, 2011. 6:30pm
Where:Books, Bikes and Beyond Thrift. 7 West Broad Street Richmond, VA 23220
What : Grape Cloth, in conjunction with Books Bikes and Beyond Thrift and Wyld Chyld Vintage, is hosting a silent auction to benefit both Books on Wheels (a non-profit that provides books and free bike repair to our less fortunate brothers and sisters, with a focus on at risk children) and Safe Harbor Shelter ( a local woman's shelter).
Why?: If this is even a question you don't get what Grape is about.
Items for the auction can be dropped off at Books, Bikes and Beyond or with Iain from Grape. If you donate send an email to wyldchyldvintage@gmail.com with your Twitter, email address and phone number if you would like the information to be part of any publicity.
Together, one small step at a time, we will leave the world better than we found it.

Grape has always, and will always, stand for Freedom. The freedom to express yourself the way you want, to live the way you want, and to love the person you want. There where some that said that Grape should not be involved with GayRVA in a charity event. Some who said it would hurt us, that the streetwear and hip hop communities where to closed minded on this issue to ever accept it. But that is not what Grape is. We reject this idea as totally as we reject the idea that it is possible to fight racism and classism while defending homophobia. Grape is for growth even if it makes some uncomfortable. Equality means equality for all.
For this reason Grape is proud to stand with GayRVA and many other RVA fashion trendsetters in supporting another charity event:
What: Fashion For A Cause, a Fashion Show & Reception with Models to raise money for Fan Free Clinic
When:Saturday, March 26, 2011. 7pm
Where: Glave Kocen Gallery. 1620 West Main Street, Richmond, Virginia, 23220
Be there. Grow. Help the Fan Free Clinic in its good work.

Southern rappers are no longer slept on.
With this introductory entry into the vast, sometimes overcrowded, mixtape realm,
Grape representer Joe Cool shows Hip Hop that his VIP table has been reserved for quite some time.
Born in Chi-Town and residing in Louisiana, our man Joe makes hot sauce tornados and unleashes them on our ears, all while rocking a huge smile.
Slick rhymes, dope beats (some produced by Cool himself) and swagger for days have entertained us constantly while printing Summer Collection samples. This tape has established itself a permanent home in our staff's Apple TV playlist.
Repping Entourage Music Group, headed by young entrepreneur Austin Beck-Hill, TheSuperCookies crew and Grape Cloth, we all are looking forward to something massive...and so should you.
Watch Joe Cool head out to California on tour to promote Mixtape For No F'n Reason and see him sporting Grape Cloth the entire time.

Shine.
Sometimes when deadlines are absent we feel incomplete -
other times when they are present we feel overwhelmed.
As humans, we have a natural instinct to create,
whether it's through procreation or art,
fires are burning inside of you as you read this.
Add fuel to the blaze.
Starter fluid or starter logs, the smallest piece of kindling...
It does not matter how big the fire gets... Just as long as it shines.

Audra The Rapper IS OUR NEWEST SPONSORED ARTIST
When some aspiring artists think they see a light at the end of the tunnel, they push school away and embrace a chance at fame.
We here at Grape, however, are fortunate to be linked with a group of amazing people who not only have a fierce hunger for knowledge but the drive to spread quality messages to the masses.Grape is ridiculously excited to announce our official clothing sponsorship of RVA's own, Rick Ross' Maybach Music recording artist, Source Magazine inhabiting, 106 and Park devouring, SXSW performing, Old Dominion University attending Supergirl:
Audra The Rapper.
Thanks to hard networking giants Briane Harvey and Myron Green, we will be keeping Audra 100% Fresh from here on out.
If you haven't gotten your hands on it ( we assume you're just now stepping out of your cave) here is her latest mixtape release:

We Will Survive.
Right now, Tim Porter is like LeBron's competition watching him take the last second shot: Tim is winning.
Energy and truth are what makes this Richmond-dwelling emcee dope,
and we are proud to say he rocks with us.
Porter's work ethic has raised the bar once again and you can hear it on his new mixtape,
hosted by DJ Smirnoff Ice, "We Will Survive".
Take Care,
Grape.
